Pisang peak is considered one of the easy climbing peaks among the trekking peaks in Nepal . To reach the base camp from Pisang village, the path ascends through sparse wood and pasture to a Kharka at 4,420m which is considered the best place for setting up the base camp.
Pisang Peak Climbing is an easy non-technical scramble at a reasonably high elevation allowing easy way to achieve the elevation goal of over 6000m. The scramble is on an average slope of 40deg with short sections of 50deg on rock and snow. The views from Pisang Peak Summit are absolutely stunning on the entire Annapurna range including Annapurna I, Annapurna South, Gangapurna, Machhapurchhe (Fishtail), and entire magnificent Grand Barrier from Tilicho Peak to Roc Noir.
Before climbing the peak, you must have Peak Climbing Permits. While we arrange these permits, you will be taken to Balaju, a natural rock climbing spot for your climbing course before departure to Besisahar. Drive to Besisahar early in the moring by tourist vehicle. From Besisahar you will witness stunning snow capped mountain vista. O/N at guest house.
After arriving at Syange, our trekking begins. After crossing Marsyangdi River, stone village of Jagat and lush forest we reach Chamje. O/N at guest house.
Continue your trek slightly upward through fields of corn, forests of bamboo and Rhododendrons to reach Dharapani. Enroute to Dharapani you will cross a suspension bridge in Marshyangdi river. From Dharapani you will be able to see the Annapurna Range for the first time in your journey. O/N at tea house.
En-route to Chame from Dharapani you will encounter some typical Tibetan villages, cross a few steep forested landscapes, along with several landslides. Chame is the district headquarter of Manang District. Beautiful views of Mt. Lamjung and Annapurna II can be seen from your hotel. You can also enjoy a refreshing bath in the natural hot spring nearby the village.
On the course of Pisang, you make your journey through a narrow steep path passing through a very dense pine forest. As the trail opens up you will be surrounded by Himalayan Peaks all the way to Pisang. You will have an extra half an hour climb towards a big hill to reach Upper Pisang. O/N at guest house.
Today you will have a rest day here. We’ll explore the area, catching the magnificent views around the village. Enjoy the whole day with majestic views of Annapurnas, Gangapurna and Tilicho. O/N at lodge.
From Upper Pisang village, the path ascends through forests of pine & local vegetation and pasture land to reach Base camp. On the way the views of the Annapurna range entice you a lot. From today the accommodations will be tented camps for a few days. O/N at tented camp.
Today your journey leads along a rocky glacier path. En route to the High Camp you’ll see the panoramic views of the Annapurna range, Chulu East, Chulu Far East, Nawal peak, Tilicho peak and many other unnamed mountains and peaks. O/N at tented camp.
In order to adjust us with the high altitude, today we will take a rest here. We’ll also take a short trek around the camp to prepare for the 6000m adventure tomorrow morning. Overnight at tented camp.
Today is the most adventurous day of peak climbing. From the High Camp, a well defined ridge leads to the final snow slope which is quite steep and more technical to reach the summit. Our guide will fix the rope and lead you to the successful summit of the Pisang peak. At the summit of Pisang (6091m), you have a closer panoramic view of the Annapurna range, Chulu East, Chulu Far East, Nawal peak, Tilicho peak, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, the Tibetan mountains, Kang Guru Peak, Gyaji Kang peak, Tilje peak, Kuchubhro peak, and many more. After a Successful summit, you will walk down to Base Camp. O/N at tented camp.
Today you will trek to Pisang village and continue to Manang village through the drier upper part of the Manang district, cut off from the full effect of monsoon by the Annapurna range. Here, you will notice a contrast with the landscape and vegetation. Manang is a great mountain valley which has rich customs & traditions and gives you an opportunity to observe a traditional lifestyle of Manangi People. O/N at lodge.
Start your trek early in the morning and walk for about 6 hours to arrive at Yak Kharka. You will first cross Tanki Manang, an old village of Manangis. The highlight of the day will be the view of the majestic Mt. Manaslu (8,156 m). O/N at guest house.
Continue your walk towards Thorang Phedi. Considering the increasing altitude, you will take slower walks. O/N at guest house.
Today is a challenging day because you have to cross Thorang-La Pass, which is also the border of Manang district. The top of the Pass offers you the magnificient views of the Himalayas. After crossing the Thorong La Pass, walk down to Muktinath. This day you have to walk for about 9 hours to reach Muktinath, one of the holiest pilgrimage sites to both Hindus and Buddhists.O/N at guest house.
Start your trek down to the Eklebhatti, and then follow the Kaligandaki River to Jomsom. The view of Dhaulagiri and Nilgiri is splendid throughout the trail. Jomsom is the district headquarters of Mustang district and is a large town with many facilities. O/N at Guesthouse.
Today a 35 minutes morning flight takes us to Pokhara from Jomsom. In the afternoon we will have sightseeing around Pokhara valley, which covers Fewa Lake, Devi’s water fall, Museum etc. O/N at hotel.
Return back to Kathmandu by tourist bus. In the evening you will enjoy with Nepali food at Thamel, a tourism hub of Nepal. O/N at hotel.
After breakfast you can enjoy a full day Kathmandu city tour with our tour guide. The sightseeing program is focused on to introduce some highlights and UNESCO World Heritage sites of Kathmandu such as Durbar square, Swoyambhunath (monkey temple), Pashupatinath and Bouddhanath. In the evening, we will purchase souvenir for your nearest and dearest at your choice in Thamel. O/N at hotel.
After breakfast, the trip ends. Our representative will transfer you to the airport for your next destination. Even if you wish to stay longer in Nepal and depart on a later date, we would always love another opportunity to serve you.
